Tony Jacome, drummer and vocalist of Ontario noise rock/sludge metal outfit Shallow North Dakota, has been diagnosed with Stage 4 pancreatic cancer. The cancer has spread to his liver and is inoperable. Jacome, age 44 and father to four children, is undergoing chemotherapy "in the hopes of buying himself more time to fight this with those that love him by his side." With medical expenses and other bills rapidly mounting, a GoFundMe has been launched to help ease the family's financial burden. Launched in 1993, the Hamilton, Ontario trio released three albums and several EPs in the 90s and early 2000s, including two full-lengths with Sonic Unyon.
