Marsha Zazula, who co-founded American record label
Megaforce Records in 1982 with her husband
Jon Zazula, passed away earlier today (January 10) at age 68.
The news comes via the Zazula's daughter, Rikki, who shared the following on
Facebook: "RIP Mom April 21, 1952 -January 10, 2021 Your love, Your strength, Your memory and Your music has changed lives and will continue to FOREVER."
Propelled to success by releasing the first two Metallica albums,
Kill 'Em All (1983) and
Ride the Lightning (1984), Megaforce went on to release hundreds of records, including music from Bad Brains, Testament, Ministry, Anthrax, Mercyful Fate, Overkill, Living Colour, Prong, and Clutch.
