The legacy of late Power Trip vocalist Riley Gale lives on as Dallas Hope Charities has announced the purchase of a new home for transitional LGBTQ youths.

Shortly after Gale's August death, Power Trip asked fans to donate to Dallas Hope Charities in lieu of flowers. The resulting financial support enabled the nonprofit to "fast-track" purchase of the new property, reports the Dallas Observer.

"We had no idea what that would result in, but the metal, thrasher community is like the most giving, generous, connected — it's crazy just the people that have come together," charity CEO Evie Scrivner told the Observer.

The new residence will accommodate eight people (age 18 to 24), says Scrivner, and will open in early December.

According to Scrivner, Riley Gale's relationship with Dallas Hope Charities commenced in early 2020, after which Gale begin donating a portion of the band's ticket revenue to the organization.

"In his living life, he was excited about being a part of that," she adds.
