Man charged in plot to kidnap Gov. fan of Periphery, Hate Eternal
As you've likely heard, earlier today six men were charged in an alleged plot to kidnap Michigan Governor Gretchen Whitmer and overthrow the government.
Conspirators reportedly twice conducted surveillance at Gov. Whitmer's personal vacation home and plotted to kidnap her and take her to a "secure location" and eventually "stand trial for treason." According to the Detroit News, the FBI has been aware of the scheme since early 2020.
"Several members talked about murdering 'tyrants' or 'taking' a sitting governor," an FBI agent reported. "The group decided they needed to increase their numbers and encouraged each other to talk to their neighbors and spread their message."
Not long after the story broke, a video surfaced that purported to show one of the men charged, Brandon Caserta, discussing political matters. Notably, Caserta can be seen wearing a Hate Eternal t-shirt. Meanwhile, there is also a Periphery flag hanging on the wall in the background. You can have a look below.
Additionally, a Twitter account seemingly belonging to Caserta follows Animals As Leaders and Periphery, along with members of both bands. This is a video of Brandon Caserta, one of the ringleaders of the group of men arrested for a plot where the group planned to kidnap Governor Gretchen Whitmer. Caserta has an anarchist flag behind him and in YouTube videos trashes police. He's not a Republican, he's an anarchist. pic.twitter.com/J1vE2qGYL7
