Four members of Australian metalcore group Dealer have apparently quit the band over various allegations surrounding vocalist Aidan Holmes (née Aidan Ellaz).
Dealer was launched in early 2019 after Holmes was kicked out of Alpha Wolf following accusations of sexual misconduct. In December 2018, he was formally charged for sexual assault, though we're unclear if this was for a separate incident, or the same one that prompted his exit Alpha Wolf. Regardless, there will apparently be a court hearing on the matter next month.
Today, former guitarist Josh Ang issued a statement via Instagram in which he speaks of emotional abuse suffered at hands of an unnamed person, widely assumed to be Holmes.
Yesterday, every member of Dealer sans Holmes appeared to quit the group. A statement attributed to Maurice Morfaw (guitar), Martin Wood (guitar), Joe Dean (drums), and Gabor Toth (bass) reads as follows:
"We have decided to no longer be a part of or associated with Dealer effective immediately. At an appropriate time, more information will come."
