Carnifex lost over $250,000 from their canceled tour

Carnifex had been scheduled to co-headline a five-week North American tour that was to commence in mid-March, the same week that the American economy was shut down due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The tour was officially canceled on March 12, at which point the band said they were "now digging out of a massive pile of debt." The extent of the debt has now been revealed by frontman Scott Lewis, who says the band lost $250,000 from the tour cancellation, including $60,000 that Lewis personally lost. Responding to remarks from Secretary of the Treasury Steve Mnuchin regarding relief checks from the United States government, Lewis had this to say: Lewis subsequently added that Carnifex will survive with the help of their fans and record label: [via ThePRP]
