Sun in Shadows release debut album, premiere new video

Maine metal act Sun in Shadows have released their debut full-length album, Bad Spirits. In addition, they have shared a video for "Hyde," an instrumental cover of The Who's "Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde." You can have a look and a listen below.

Creator Nick Heigelmann had this to say about the album, song, and video: "The idea to celebrate the release of the album on Halloween with a video for Hyde has been planned all along. The vibes were in the air when recording began on the day after Halloween last year down at Godcity. The time and place were appropriate to begin recording an album like this."

"Hyde," by no coincidence, is the 13th track on Bad Spirits.

"The original song was written by John Entwistle about Keith Moon's drinking. The lyrics and vocals are cool, but no one ended up pulling off the vocal lines in the studio. Instead, I re-purposed the theme, recorded a B3 style organ part of the vocal melodies, then Mitch (Soul Remnants) did some crazy fucking cackling at the end. The video is of a game of Halloween hide-and-go-seek in the woods of Maine, where the consequences are dire!"

Bad Spirits is available now via all streaming platforms.
