Red Sparowes (Isis, etc. project) update
Red Sparowes have posted a demo track online here. The group consists of Cliff Meyer (guitar, vocals) and Jeff Caxide (bass) of Isis, Greg Burns (bass/pedal steel) of Halifax Pier, Dana Berkowitz (drums) of The Cignal, and Neurosis visuals man Josh Graham (guitar/vocals). According to the band, "while the music is primarily focused on instrumental tracks, occasional vocals will work their way into the mix." Red Sparowes is currently writing material for their debut album, which they expect to record in late-May/early-June, and will be released on a label that has yet to be determined. Meanwhile, the group has vague plans for both a West Coast tour and a full U.S. tour, though nothing has been solidified thus far.
