Mark Hunter, vocalist and co-founder of Chimaira, has revealed that he's been diagnosed with thyroid cancer. Hunter had the following to say via Facebook:

I am also a total thyroidectomy recovering cancer patient. Make sure you need radiation .. I haven't yet and it's been one year and 4 months. I've heard horror stories about radiation but thank you for sharing. And sending love and light

Wow, I'm appalled at all the negative comments.. yeah, his band is the shit, but the man has fcking cancer, show some sympathy.. you all just say "hope you you recover.. oh and btw put out some new music." fckin jerks. Life and health is more important than a metal band. I've seen you live a few times and it was always top notch. But besides the music, I wish you a speedy recovery and good health.
