Diecast finishes recording new LP

Diecast has completed recording for their upcoming album, "Tearing Down Your Blue Skies." The first release from the group in three years, the effort also features new vocalist Paul Stoddard. The record will be available this summer through Century Media Records. Here's a statement from bassist Jeremy Wooden: “I guess the first thing to say is that we're back and better than ever. Our absence from playing shows does not mean that we were not writing. In fact it turns out to be quite the opposite. It has given us time to create the most dynamic and talented songs we have ever written. We have spent almost two years on this material and made sure that every song was as strong and interesting as the next. Our new singer, Paul Stoddard, has allowed us to try things that we could never have imagined in the past. His voice is so dynamic; he can go from a clean singing part to melodic screaming, all the way to death metal screams in the same song. We tried to make each song have a different feel and have written some of our heaviest material and also some of our most melodic. With our new singer and Century Media behind us I think this record will more than please all our loyal fans we've gained over the years as well as open us up to a whole new audience. We had a chance to play two shows with Paul before we hit the studio and they were completely insane. It was as if we had never taken time off with kids all over the stage singing along and people destroying each other in the pit. We would like to thank all our patient fans for waiting so long and we promise you will not be disappointed. We will be touring nonstop when the record hits so be prepared.”
