Irish politician calls for ban of Behemoth ahead of concert

A city councillor in Ireland hopes to prevent Polish extreme metal band Behemoth from performing there next week on the grounds that they promote Satanism.

Fianna Fáil Councillor and former Mayor of Limerick Kevin Sheehan wants Behemoth banned ahead of their appearance at King John's Castle, set to take place on Monday, June 17.

Speaking with TodayFM, Sheehan said, "Satanism is associated with evil. And I'm a Christian. I wouldn't be blowing my trumpet too loud about that. I'm an average Christian, if there's such a thing. And what I am against totally is anything to do with Satanism and with evil thoughts, music or practices."
