There Were Wires calls it quits
Boston's There Were Wires has broken up following the departure of guitarist Don Belcastro last week. Belcastro left the group to pursue "other creative avenues in the field of art," and the split was an amicable one. Meanwhile, the rest of the band (Jaime, Thomas, Ryan, and Jebb) will continue to play together in a new band called Disappearer. The new group will record a few songs next month for a release on Chainsaw Safety Records. There may be a final There Were Wires show this spring, but nothing has been solidified yet. Any questions should be directed here.
