Welsh metal/hardcore outfit Continents have called it quits after nearly a decade together. The band will play a final show in April.

Continents have issued the following statement:

"We recently made the tough decision to bring Continents to an end.

"For the last 12 months or so, we have been working on new material to bring to you. Unfortunately, at this stage of our lives, we are finding it harder than we thought to give our time to the band and what it deserves.

"The last 10 years have been full of highs, lows and everything in between but we would always strive to create the music that we felt passionate about. We put everything we had into our live show and poured our hearts and souls into each track we wrote with the aim to have fun and to possibly inspire others.

"As we look back at what we have been lucky enough to experience, we wish to thank Dom, Tom, Ken, Victory Records, Ghostfest, Maarten (Loud Noise agency), Dean Whittaker (Imperial Music), Tom at Kings Agency, everyone who put us up whilst on the road, the promoters that gave us the opportunity to play in places we never thought possible, every band we shared a stage with, but most importantly everyone that came to a show, streamed/bought our music/merch and sung along for making this amazing adventure possible.

"Thank you, we honestly cannot express our gratitude enough.

"We never imagined how far our music would travel and the opportunities that would arise for us; So let's make this last show one to remember."
