Wacken Open Air nursing home story

By now you've probably seen that inspiring story (originating from Deutsche Welle) regarding two elderly men who escaped a German nursing home last week to attend the Wacken Open Air metal festival. Well, I hate to be the bearer of a depressing update, but it never happened, at least not remotely as described.

According to the Associated Press, those "elderly" men were actually 58 and 59, and they didn't leave a nursing home, but rather "a home for people with mental health issues." Moreover, they didn't go to Wacken Open Air; they went to the town of Wacken to consume some alcohol.

Finally, the pair did not have to be dragged away amidst a soaring Judas Priest guitar solo, but were instead found near a bus stop, "helpless, disoriented and intoxicated."

I didn't want to post this, but the truth must prevail.
