the song isn't registered with a Metal Blade ISRC number, it's just a generic one. they did this on their own. MB doesn't want anything to do with it (at least enough to even have it in their system to collect on it. looks like a CD Baby or Tunecore UPC. they don't even have this under MB's distribution wing. they are on their own. no label, no funding, no support. ex is taking half of whatever he makes off this anyway
Dude none of that is relevant because they put out a demo. You know what a demo is? They are label shopping. Demos don't have proper numbers everyone knows that. Tim and AILD might end up with MB or maybe not. Is MB paying them enough? If not then Tim will walk and sign with Nuclear Blast, Century, Relapse, Rise, Sony, Atlantic, god I could go on and on. Just like he could've gotten new members but the old ones were the best option. It's all up for negotiation.

No metal blade dropped it early on because they didn't know the extent of Tim's involvement. I work at metal blade. We dropped them before tims arrest because we realized they were 4th tier. The splatter set was put out to cash in on their idiot fans, however we did not promote it. Last we heard they are setting up a 100,000 kickstarter so tim can raise funds to hire a new hitman
