Yesterday the world lost a very special person: Caleb Scofield. He was deeply important to us as a friend, tour mate, roommate, collaborator and human. He was a great father, a loving husband and his loss will be most deeply felt by his family. His music in his various bands (Cave In, Old Man Gloom, Zozobra), have inspired us and many others, and will continue to do so for years to come. We love you and miss you already Caleb.

Jason Gagovski (Sweet Cobra, Suicide Note)
Saddened to hear about the passing of Caleb Scofield. Thoughts go out to his family and bandmates. I was fortunate enough to meet him playing shows with Cave In a few times over the years and was always blown away by his stage presence and how kind and genuine he was as a person. The music he made with Cave In, Old Man Gloom, and Zozobra was genre expanding and inspiring to experience and that is an understatement. Rest in peace.
Tommy Rogers (Between The Buried And Me)
Such horrible news :( RIP Caleb Scofield
Ryan Downey (Burn It Down)
Burn It Down played several shows with Cave In back in the day. Jupiter is one of my favorite albums. Caleb was massively talented and a sweet guy. Please give what you can to help his wife and children today. RIP
Dustie Waring (Between The Buried And Me)
Horrible to hear about the passing of a truly great human and musician. Caleb Scofield was incredibly talented and a part of so much important music. Cave In has always been a very important band in heavy music; A band that showed everyone it's ok to think outside of the box and experiment with things outside of hardcore. My first tour with BTBAM was opening for Cave In and Converge. (A dream tour for a metal and hardcore kid like me.) We made life long friendships on that tour and went on to play more shows together over the years. My most heartfelt condolences go to his family, band mates and fans.
Steve Micciche (Every Time I Die)
Shook and shocked by this tragic news. I to this day say the best tour I've ever been on was with Cave In. Caleb was an unbelievable musician and had a huge influence on me. Please help his family if you can.
Jimmy Eat World
We are extremely saddened by the news of Caleb Scofield's passing. We toured with Cave-In and Caleb and his bandmates blew us off the stage every night. He will be sorely missed. If you can, please support his family in this time of need.

Hollow Earth
Finding out the news of Cave In/Old Man Gloom/Zozobra's Caleb Scofield is the biggest punch to the gut. Our musical community lost a great one and we wish his friends and family well through this awful time. RIP.
Lots of Cave In listened to in the tour van over the years. R.I.P. Caleb
Chad Fjerstad (ex-Dead To Fall)
One of my greatest influences as a bassist died in a freakish car accident at a toll booth in New Hampshire last night. Caleb Scofield (Cave In, Old Man Gloom, etc) was 39 years old, leaving behind a wife and two kids. He was a legend who no one really talked about much. Gone way too soon. I know Caleb still had a lot left in him. R.I.P. to one of the greats of my generation.
Ray Harkins (Taken)
Taken played with Cave In before and only got to meet Caleb once but this hits all of us hard for a few reasons: 1. His music was a game changer 2. He's young 3. He has a family. Please donate to his family who is reeling. Thanks for everything, Caleb.
The Ocean
We are deeply saddened and shocked by the passing of Caleb Scofield. Our thoughts are with his close friends and family. He was an exceptional musician and a huge source of inspiration for us. Caleb will be missed, please help support his family.
Ryan Seaman (IDKHBTFM, ex-Falling In Reverse)
RIP Caleb Scofield, I didn't know you personally but holy hell, one of the best bass players of Hardcore music! The band "Cave In" will always live on in my heart! One of the best live bands I ever got to see.
