Whitechapels bass player is the worst dude ever

anonymous 2/28/2018 10:43:43 AM

Black rear Murder, rearchapel

anonymous 2/28/2018 11:11:16 AM

hard back. slaughter will be scrambling to compete with that cemetery co headline tour package. they got it right in 2011, though 'Beatdown' Jon np: signs of the swarm - night crawler

anonymous 2/28/2018 11:17:24 AM

Whitechapel sucks.

fourthgradecocktease 2/28/2018 11:51:10 AM

Whitechapel has been riding off their 08 fame for 10 years now, fcking hang it up my god

anonymous 2/28/2018 11:59:42 AM

^ consistently put out quality material every two years including our endless war (top ten billboard) and book notable slots on selling tours. good call

fourthgradecocktease 2/28/2018 12:02:59 PM

^ Everyone hated that record dude. The following record debuted 62 spots lower on the Billboard 200 because of it. If they were actually doing well they wouldn't be co-headlining tours with fcking Carnifex. Wake up fanboy.

anonymous 2/28/2018 12:28:56 PM

no, only cucks that are into melodic hardcore (lol) like you hate it. moot point. sales have been trending downward across the board since before 2014 and they still pulled notable numbers. carnifex was also direct support on their decade of defilement tour (wrong again). they are however getting co-headlining nods with TBDM. let the grown ups chat

fourthgradecocktease 2/28/2018 12:54:22 PM

You can blame downward trends all you want, I'm sure Suicide Silence would like to do the same thing. Too bad bands like TBDM are selling better than ever. Just accept that you are "Deathcore Jon" as an actual person and move on.

fourthgradecocktease 2/28/2018 12:57:51 PM

and cucks? really? you're defending a deathcore band whose most discernible influence is Tool.

anonymous 2/28/2018 12:58:37 PM

TBDM numbers (not overly astonishing) have almost remained the same since nocturnal across the board. no one is backing SS, no one is bashing TBDM... but they get a co-headline with WC, not billed above and someone is butt sore about it

fourthgradecocktease 2/28/2018 1:17:12 PM

band makes bad music -> blames results on "downward sales trends" or "elitist fans" band makes decent/good music -> sales number remain steady or increase based on gradually increasing exposure. The real difference between TDBM and Whitechapel is that one has remained a consistently respectable genre mainstay, and the other has been a rollercoaster of failed experiments, re-releases and live album cash grabs. For a band with mostly original members, WC sucks.

anonymous 2/28/2018 3:03:25 PM

BDM jumped the shark? They have to coheadline with whitechapel?

anonymous 2/28/2018 5:56:46 PM

I'll be at the Sioux Falls show. Haha just kidding. Who the fck lives there

anonymous 2/28/2018 7:13:23 PM

emmure should be on this

anonymous 2/28/2018 7:50:41 PM

It's no longer 2011, Whitechapel can't pull above 400 on their own anywhere. That tour they did around the beginning of last year with Cattle Decapitation actually consistently drew less than Cattle's own headliner at the end of the year. They're a jaded career band circling the drain as they grow less relevant by the year.

anonymous 2/28/2018 8:17:25 PM

fake news ^ go ahead and triple that number middle america stops, and quadruple it for good measures on the coasts. lol cattle decap. is just above opening billing on last slaughter they did. WC is always in co-headline or direct support convo

anonymous 2/28/2018 8:35:40 PM

Have multiple friends who were on those tours. The numbers I have are accurate. Both tours played similar-sized venues. Whitechapel scraped 500 in the absolute best markets, Cattle sold out the same 400-550 capacity rooms. Whitechapel's draw goes down by the year. They're only doing full-album tours because that's the only way that they have a shot at pulling anything close to their old numbers.

anonymous 2/28/2018 8:42:51 PM

I believe i can settle this. i work at MB. whitechapel is doing full album tours because their last album was released 2 years ago and they already made those runs. 07 and 08 offerings line up for decade tour while the new material was penned. 2018 release. easy math. now you know

anonymous 2/28/2018 9:53:09 PM

whitechapel is a has-been band in the sense that they stopped doing what they did best. just because you put them on tours and they sold well doesn't mean their music isn't just entry-level garbage nowadays.

anonymous 2/28/2018 9:53:23 PM

also phil bozeman you're obviously talented but your vocals are just ridiculous now that they're actually comical. dial it down from 12 to 11 and maybe you won't be drowned out by the last couple good riffs churned out each record. lastly i have the biggest dck ITT and y'all can suck upon it

anonymous 3/1/2018 7:48:20 AM

Their tours in support of their last couple albums didn't do very well. I was told straight-up that their run with Psycroptic around the end of 2015 never did more than 400 a night and was usually closer to 300. Their run around the beginning of 2016 did similar numbers. Their coheadlining run with Suicide Silence around the end of 2016 really didn't do that well either, considering what the bill was. It's 2018, they're over the hill.

anonymous 3/1/2018 8:24:07 AM

^ yet still getting a co-headline slot with TBDM in 2018, not billed beneath. while you scramble to make sense of it. but.. but..

anonymous 3/1/2018 8:27:55 AM

Marketing purposes, since a full-album tour of the album that made them blow up is the only way that they can still get a good amount of people to come see them. TBDM is also coheadlining with Cannibal Corpse in Europe, and I guarantee that if this tour was with Cannibal, Whitechapel would be billed as direct support. Both bands consistently draw more than Whitechapel.

anonymous 3/1/2018 8:41:57 AM

Also, Whitechapel coheadlined with Devildriver (who consistently draw less than TBDM) a while back, and THAT tour barely drew at all, while TBDM's coheadliner with Napalm Death a couple years later sold out almost every show in bigger rooms.

fourthgradecocktease 3/1/2018 9:45:36 AM

^ my point exactly. WC doesn't draw anymore, most of their fans jumped ship a long time ago and they are without a dpubt circling the drain. When they're doing a "10 years of the new era of corruption" tour in 2 years you'll see what I mean.

anonymous 3/1/2018 10:09:27 AM

Younger deathcore kids don't give a shit about Whitechapel; aside from Oceano, Carnifex, and After the Burial, they don't care about anything that was a name before 2010. Older deathcore fans don't come out to see them and generally don't like their new material. I honestly don't think they'll last another decade unless they get some insane second wind.

fourthgradecocktease 3/1/2018 10:23:03 AM

^ Decade? I give them 6 years tops

anonymous 3/1/2018 10:46:58 AM

More time than Suicide Silence has. Both bands are destined to wind up working at Guitar Center if they don't become low-level agents or managers. They'll be all the rage with the teenage djent kids who just want to buy gear without listening to yet another boring, overlong story about Mayhem Fest or Warped Tour.

anonymous 3/1/2018 11:10:29 AM

what is worst beatdown jon using beatdown in a deathcore/metalcore tour thread or these guys debating numbers for their tours. They aren't even headlining so fck you, I know cuz I work at metalblade.

"what is worst beatdown jon using beatdown in a deathcore/metalcore tour thread or these guys debating numbers for their tours.
