The Young (and the Useless) breaks up
Florida's The Young, known as The Young And The Useless (Thorp Records) for most of their existence, have decided to put the band to rest and move on. However, as often seems to be the case these days, remaining members now have a new band. The new project will feature 4/5's of the Young's lineup. Here's a statement from the band regarding the decision: "We all feel it is neccessary to move on and start fresh. The Young have recently gone in a total different musical direction than we did when we first started. We all finally feel that we have found a style and sound that we are proud of and excited for others to hear, and dont see fit to release these songs as 'the Young.'" Though the group hasn't yet settled upon a name, they have already recorded a few demo tracks.
