Lambesis had been serving a six-year sentence for his role in a murder-for-hire plot targeting his estranged wife. He was sentenced in May 2014. In an interview with Eddie Trunk on "Trunk Nation," Lynch, whose daughter once in a relationship with As I Lay Dying guitarist Nick Hipa, had this to say about Lambesis:
