Slipknot members set to begin work on new music

Early 2017 will find a fraction of Slipknot together working on new music. In a new interview with Rolling Stone, percussionist Shawn "Clown" Crahan reveals that he and guitarist Jim Root will assemble in early February to start writing new music. Crahan explains that they're doing it "because we want to write," adding that at this time they've not yet set a date to enter the recording studio.

This one time me and Donkeylips collected everyone's spare change to buy hamburgers for the camp. Everyone distracted Ugg as we snuck up the camp road to collect our delicious prized hamburgers

So does Shawn get a bunch a tin cans to bang the shit out of while Jimbo plays a riff over it?

anonymous 11/22/2016 11:29:38 AM

BECAUSE WE ARE NOT TODD JONES AND CANNOT GO AWAY FOR 3 MONTHS AND THEN DO A SPLIT AND PLAY SHOWS

When are the other guys in this band realise that Clown does NOTHING of note in this band and kick him out?

anonymous 11/22/2016 12:24:14 PM

^why kick him out? he worked hard for his dream and he's the most charismatic of all Slipknot. they should embrace his live presents more moving forward. every group needs a black sheep. they know from the beginning what they were getting themselves into, so is even better, he will not have to be like everyone else and conform to "proper behavior", just be himself. If he changed in the last sixteen years, if he's more empathetic, we shall see. my two cents.

I can say without reservation that, when I saw Slipknot perform at the height of their success, it was the most boring big time concert I've ever seen by far. You could have put a CD on and gotten the same experience. Note for note replications of their songs, the drummer singing, no movement on stage, no surprises, dull, dull, dull.

Slipknot sucks, no doubt. But I think the upside to it is that their fanbase isnt made up of Musical Hipsters like hardcore/punk/metal genre is

anonymous 11/23/2016 5:29:59 PM

It won't be like gaytallica

anonymous 11/23/2016 6:01:03 PM
