Earlier this month Of Mice & Men cancelled their European tour due to health concerns surrounding vocalist Austin Carlile, who continues to deal with the effects of Marfan syndrome (MFS). Today Carlile has revealed that he's undergoing the first of several surgeries intended to repair three "major tears" in his spine. Here's what Carlile had to say:
" First of a few surgeries today! Will be doing something called blood patching, to fix the three major tears currently in my spine...base of neck/back of head, mid back between my 11 and 12 vertebrae due to a bludgeoned disc, and lower back just above tailbone! Here we go!"
