Bad Brains nominated for Rock and Roll Hall of Fame

Washington, D.C. hardcore punk legends Bad Brains are among the newly revealed nominees for the 2017 induction of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Vote results will be announced in December and the induction ceremony will take place in April in New York City. Other 2017 nominees include Pearl Jam, Tupac Shakur, Depeche Mode, Electric Light Orchestra, Jane's Addiction, Janet Jackson, Journey, the Cars, and Joan Baez. This is the first nomination for Bad Brains, who formed in 1977 and have released nine studio albums through 2012. The group's classic lineup is composed of H.R. (vocals), Dr. Know (guitar), Darryl Jenifer (bass), and Earl Hudson (drums).
