Gojira album 'Magma' debuts in Top 25

Magma, the new album from Gojira, has debuted at No. 24 on the Billboard 200 chart. Release on June 17, the record sold roughly 17,000 copies in its first week of release in the United States. This is both the highest chart and sales debut for the band to date. Gojira's previous album, L'enfant Sauvage (2012), sold 11,000 in its first week, debuting at No. 34 on the aforementioned chart. Meanwhile, their 2008 album, The Way of All Flesh, sold 4,200 copies in its initial week, resulting in a Billboard 200 peak at No. 138.
