Deftones' Chino Moreno launches new 'supergroup'

Deftones frontman Chino Moreno has launched a new 'supergroup', according to Pitchfork. In addition to Moreno, the project, dubbed Saudade, also features Dr. Know of Bad Brains, jazz keyboardist John Medeski, Mackie Jayson (Bad Brains, Cro-Mags), and Chuck Doom (Crosses). Their debut track, also called "Saudade," has been issued via a BitTorrent bundle. The track is available as a free download (a video is also accessible via an email address share).

The first 1:30 sounds like it would play during the credits on a new X-Files movie.

I'm pretty sure Todd Jones IS the Bad Brains and Chino is a poser, per Jones.

This is not what I expected. It might be good, especially if Medeski is part of it. This is a departure for him. I doubt most Lambgoaties are familiar with him, but I could be wrong.

that solo sounds like a dude was in guitar center by himself noodling around while another band was playing a song together 40 feet away. what in the actual fck? this is hot garbage.
