Marshalltown, IA hardcore band Modern Life Is War has announced the addition of drummer Luke Rauch to their lineup. Rauch replaces Tyler Oleson, who has left the group. Here's the official word:

"We would like to officially announce our friend Luke Rauch from Iowa as the new drummer of Modern Life Is War. Luke has been a respected staple of the Iowa music scene for many years. He is currently touring with his band Druids, who are releasing an excellent new LP in June. Luke is not only a great musician, but also very much fits the spirit of this band and we could not be more excited about playing with him. The departure of our original drummer Tyler Oleson came by his own decision. We would like to thank Tyler for being an integral part of this band since day one. He is a loyal lifelong friend and hands down one of the funniest and strangest people we have ever met. His style of playing helped to define our sound and we would not have been able to accomplish what we have without him. Thanks to all of you for your support. We are working on new music, planning shows and continuing to push forward."
