Mastodon, At The Drive-In, QOTSA members launch new band

Official press release: A new experimental rock band called Gone Is Gone has been formed by revered musicians Tony Hajjar (At the Drive-In), Mike Zarin, Troy Van Leeuwen (Queens of the Stone Age), and Troy Sanders (Mastodon). The collaborative group plans to debut an EP later this summer through their own imprint label via Rise Records/BMG. In anticipation of the impending release, Gone Is Gone has unveiled a clip of a new song and will be performing their first show ever at the Dragonfly in Los Angeles on April 27th. Tickets will go on-sale on Friday at 10AM PST. In a new interview with, Tony Hajjar says "It feels good to know that all this music will see the light of day soon... The vibe from Day 1 was, and has been, very therapeutic and refreshing for me," adds Troy Sanders. "The chemistry was immediate."
