John Fleischmann, bassist/vocalist of Ohio band Convictions, has been hospitalized due to kidney issues. Fleischmann has issued this information:
"As a lot of you know, I received a kidney transplant in July of 2014. After frequent check ups, and after a year and a half, my creatinine levels started to jump up. So today I've been hospitalized temporarily to see what's been going on. The plan was to get a biopsy of my new kidney, and the results were showing slight signs of rejection.
"So what happens now? I get better. I keep pushing forward. I refuse to let this interfere with the gifts God has blessed me with. I truly believe God has blessed my entire life by sustaining my health so I can play these songs and meet all of you wonderful people. And I refuse to believe that He would abandon me now.
I'm not asking for a pity party, I'm just asking for some positive vibes and prayers to help me beat this sickness. I love you guys. Thanks for always being there for me."
