Machine Head frontman Robb Flynn calls out Phil Anselmo

Machine Head frontman Robb Flynn has weighed in on the controversy surrounding Pantera frontman Phil Anselmo and the possibly racist motives behind his behavior at the end of the Dimebash event last weekend. As you may recall, Anselmo said his "white power" yell was an inside joke regarding the white wine he and his comrades had been drinking that evening. According to Flynn, who was at the event, there was no white wine consumed. In fact, Flynn said, "The only thing you were drinking, Phil Anselmo, was Beck's." [editor: interestingly, here's a photo of Phil that night drinking something other than beer.] Flynn also says that during Dimebash, Anselmo told him backstage that he hated Machine Head's "n*gger era" (referring to the band's 1999 album, The Burning Red).
