Deftones' Chino Moreno comments on being in Paris during attacks
Chino Moreno, lead singer of Deftones, told CBS13 that he was currently safe in a hotel room following a series of terrorist attacks in Paris. Moreno had been at dinner when shots initially rang out. His security team immediately took Moreno and his family back to their hotel room, where they remained throughtout the ordeal. Moreno had this to say:
"We weren't scheduled to play at the Bataclan until tomorrow night. A couple of [Deftones] band members, they went to the [Eagles of Death Metal] concert, but they left early — after the first few songs, they ended up leaving the venue. They got out of there and all of our band and crew are safe and accounted for at the hotel now. So, we are just here, we're pretty much on lockdown. They told everybody pretty much to stay indoors and don't go out, because they're still... Everything is still unfolding as we speak."Moreno added that he was trying to get out of Paris as soon as possible, but exodus is difficult as French borders are currently closed.
