This is including artwork, travel, equipment, lodging, everything. All the costs are broken down on the Indiegogo page. Yes, a decent quality album can be made for 10-20k, but they're not trying to make a decent album.

Including the cost of the infamous " Chinese takeout" box I ate in the video XD Serj tmkne-stsyem my down fame. Dear Tony Dumas, A preorder is when you order an album that has already been recorded. Crowd funding an album is when no labels will back you anymore because your band is no longer relevant.
These guys' parents must really not be fans of their band to charge them 6k to crash in their basement though.
It takes $1000 to record/mix/master a full length, sometimes even less, unless they are using a big name producer ect, artwork does not cost that much, i laugh when I see bands ask for crazy $ for a project.

Practice enough pre-studio, $12k becomes $6k. no label to pitch to, video is unecessary. LOL at unsigned band expecting a "band salary" so that's out. Per diem, travel, lodging can be combined and cut 20%. If you can't find somewhere to shack up and eat for $8600 just quit...
