No longer contractually obligated to any record label, North Carolina rock band He Is Legend have opted to fund their next album themselves. As such, they've launched an Indiegogo campaign with which they hope to raise $56,000.
"Without the support of a record label, a lot of bands cannot stay afloat. At first, we broke a sweat not knowing how we would go about writing and recording our next project. We knew in the back of our minds that asking you guys was an option, but perhaps pride was keeping us from taking that leap. After going over the numbers again and again, we have come to this. In the grand scheme of things, this is not an astronomical amount of money, and with your help we can make this happen. We think it is well worth it, considering what you guys get in return is a slamming new Legend record."
