Textures announce two new albums
Official press release: Dutch polyrhythmic metal maniacs Textures are about to release a musical diptych: Phenotype and Genotype. Not one to release an album every year, the band took almost 2.5 years to write and record the 5th and 6th albums which are set up around the concept that "music is not fast food". Part one of musical diptych is the bands fifth album, Phenotype. It willl be released on February 5th, 2016 via Nuclear Blast Records. The 60-minute song-based album presents an eclectic overview of what modern metal offers while preserving the catchy, innovative and progressive songs that Textures represent. The new virtuosos Uri Dijk (synth) and Joe Tal (guitar) deliver a new, harmonic vibe to the mature Textures sound. The sixth album, Genotype, will be released the following year in the form of a 45-minute conceptual track. The band takes an out of the box approach to the ideas touched upon in Phenotype to produce a more proggy and immersive track, which adds many layers to complete this extensive, double roller-coaster ride.
