Emmure frontman ailing; band cancels The Gathering

This past April, Emmure cancelled an impending tour of Europe as frontman Frankie Palmeri needed more time for his damaged vocal cords to heal. Health issues aside, that same week it was revealed that Emmure would be a featured act at Gathering of the Juggalos 2015, this year's installment of Insane Clown Posse's annual fest. Fast forward two months and it appears that Palmeri is still experiencing problems with his throat. Yesterday, organizers of the aformentioned Gathering posted this update via Twitter:
"Emmure has to withdraw from the Gathering due to health issues but our stoned homies Potluck will B N effect. Frankie get well!"
UPDATE: Emmure has now issued the following:
"We regret to inform everyone but we have decided to pull out from TGOTJ due to Frankie's still current recovery progress. We would like everyone to know that Frankie is doing much better since this incident started in February and we appreciate all the well wishes. We want to thank ICP and the organizers for asking us to be part of the Festival this year. Thank you all for the continued support."
