Evergreen Terrace vocalist quits band

Andrew Carey, vocalist (screamed vocals) and co-founder of Jacksonville, Florida melodic hardcore band Evergreen Terrace, recently quit the band after roughly fifteen years of service. Carey sent the following statement to Lambgoat:
"I quit Evergreen Terrace. As Danny Glover would often say in the hit movies from the 90's, Lethal Weapon 1, 2, and 3, 'I'm getting too old for this shit.' Thanks to everyone who supported us throughout the years."

Not really surprising. Always liked this band, but I feel like they've lost steam at this point. I don't think this type of music is very popular anymore and with their drummer recently breaking his arm or whatever, I think it's about time they call it a day. They had a good run.

anonymous 6/1/2015 10:01:03 AM

Didn't even know they were still a band.

anonymous 6/1/2015 10:32:14 AM

Lost steam at this point? Try lost steam a decade ago and have been embarrassing themselves since. They're about as bad as Shai Hulud

anonymous 6/1/2015 10:32:59 AM

Thanks for burned alive by time. Never listened to anything after that. I think we were both too old for this shit by 2006.

anonymous 6/1/2015 2:45:44 PM

Shai Hulud has always been good

anonymous 6/1/2015 2:56:50 PM

Despite the error in decade this was a great statement. More bands/bandmembers need to take note.
