Last week, Illinois "street metal band" Villains announced a new deal with Prosthetic Records. This week, they are being forced to change their name. An Atlanta, GA rock outfit The Villains allegedly sent a cease and desist letter to the band, to which Villains complied, quickly changing their name to Yüth. Here's what they had to say:

well here's a funny story...Villains had the same name as some band in GA...AAANNDD... they stole the term "Street Metal" from the original North Side "Street Metal" band ZOETROPE!!
If fans can't tell the difference between both name's they should be listening to music. One band uses the, the other doesn't. Reminds me of luti-kriss(Norma Jean) and the rapper ludacris... The same but different enough it shouldn't matter.
