Superjoint Ritual to reunite this year for tour

Superjoint Ritual, the defunct (save for one show) metal band fronted by Pantera and Down vocalist Phil Anselmo, will apparently get back together later this year to conduct a tour. Since disbanding in 2004, the band last appeared together in 2014 for a one-off performance at the Housecore Horror Film Festival in Austin, TX (for legal reasons, they performed as Superjoint). The news comes from AXS.com, who spoke with drummer Jose Gonzales last week. Gonzales told AXS that Superjoint Ritual is "planning to fully reunite for a tour this year." In addition to being the drummer for Anselmo solo outfit Phil Anselmo & The Illegals, Gonzales played drums for Superjoint at their aforementioned 2014 show. Further details regarding the proposed tour were not provided.
