Unlocking The Truth

Last summer, New York City teenage metal band Unlocking The Truth signed a much-discussed deal with Sony Records, one that was worth a potential $1.7 million.

Apparently things haven't worked out for the band thus far, as Billboard reports that the trio is currently working to extract themselves from their contract.

"Our attorneys are working on our exit from Sony now," Unlocking The Truth frontman Malcolm Brickhouse said at this week's world premiere of Breaking A Monster, a documentary about the band's rise to notoriety.

Unlocking The Truth manager Alan Sacks confirmed to Billboard.com that the band was in the process of leaving Sony but did not divulge the band's motivation for doing so.
