Metallica will re-issue their 1982 demo, No Life 'Til Leather, as a limited-edition cassette on April 18. The release will coincide with Record Store Day, though expanded CD and vinyl editions of the release will also be available summer. The endeavor will mark the first time any of Metallica's demos have been officially released.

At the time of the seven-track cassette's original release, the band lineup was composed of James Hetflied, Dave Mustaine, Lars Ulrich, and bass player Ron McGovney. Among its tracks are "Jump In The Fire," "Seek & Destroy," and "Metal Militia." The songs have been remastered, but not remixed.

"Twelve people will be able to play it, but everybody else will be able to hold it in their hands and, uh, have a great time with it," drummer Lars Ulrich told Rolling Stone.
