Angelus Apatrida completes new album

Official press release: Spanish thrashers Angelus Apatrida are ready for a new attack as they are currently finishing up the last details of their anticipated new album via Century Media Records. The same creative staff that worked on the band's previous two studio recordings, Clockwork (2010) and The Call (2012), has teamed up with them again for this new effort, entitled Hidden Evolution. The album was once again recorded in Moita, Portugal at Ultrasound Studio with producer Daniel Cardoso (Anneke Van Giersbergen, Anathema) and will be released on January 19th in Europe and January 27th in North America (digital only). Angelus Apatrida comments: "It's been the hardest recording work we ever done, but we couldn't be happier about how it sounds. Inspiration for the music in this album came from all the experiences we lived through on the road during the last two years and the result sounds more elaborated. There's some of the hardest and fastest stuff we ever done, but also some of the more melodic stuff we ever composed. Working with Daniel and the people from Ultrasound Studios has been killer as usual. Moita is a small, cozy and quiet town close to Lisbon, and it's been the third time we recorded there. Their narrow streets made of stone, the beautiful river and decadent squares feel like home; the perfect home for us, a place to get away from other things and fully concentrate."
