Official press release:

Greying, The Banner's first new full-length in six years, is set for a December 9th release on Good Fight Music.

Greying was engineered, mixed, and mastered by Will Putney (The Acacia Strain, Body Count, Stray from the Path) and Randy Leboeuf. The cover art is by The Banner founder and frontman JSS.

The tracklist is as follows:

01. The Dying of the Light
02. Circle of Salt
03. Crippling Despair
04. Sunlight
05. Unbaptized
06. A Quiet Corner
07. Send Me Down
08. VIII
09. She Upon the Black Wolf
10. Bones to Dust
11. Sunset

JSS states: "The writing for Greying began shortly after the recording of Frailty and continued right up until we entered the studio. My motivation was to get a seamless fusion of the sounds and ideas of Each Breath Haunted and Frailty, as much as possible, then expand on that focused vein as best as I was able. Fortunately we linked up with Randy in the studio and he made this all possible in a way I believe other engineers wouldn't have been able to. I'm very grateful to have had Randy and Will working with me on this album. I think that Greying is without question the most 'The Banner' album I've done."

The Banner stormed the scene in the '00s, pushing the morbid theatrics of The Misfits into the context of metallic hardcore. Ahead of their time, The Banner helped pave the way for the massive resurgence of goth influence within metal and hardcore, seen today all over the map, from Warped Tour kings like Motionless in White, to critics' darlings like Iceage.

The range displayed on new album Greying is vast and The Banner owns every inch of it – from the blackened drive of "Crippling Despair" and crushing beatdown of "Unbaptized," to the industrial lament of "Send Me Down" and heavy blues of
