Invent, Animate completes new album
Official press release: Texas metalcore band Invent, Animate, who have recently signed to Tragic Hero Records, just put the finishing touches on their debut full-length album. The record was engineered and produced by Brian Hood (ERRA, Being As An Ocean) at 456 Recordings. The band received some additional help from ERRA guitarist and label-mate Jesse Cash. "It was a very fluid process between myself and the band," says Cash. "There was an immediate chemistry, so the "work" aspect of the process was that much simpler. Those dudes write great material and progress so much with each release, so given these factors along with their young age, I see them going up and gaining a lot of stoked fans over time." "It's our fourth time working with Brian, and there's a reason for that," says Invent, Animate vocalist Ben English. "He is so good at what he does and he brings so many awesome ideas to the table. He absolutely killed it. Also, his new tracking engineer, Kevin was so awesome to work with. Jesse came in and learned from us, what we wanted from the record, and steered it that direction. We couldn't have asked for a better producer. He had a huge effect on the catchiness and the flow of this record, and the overall team we had made this thing exactly what we wanted. Very excited for this." With a summer release scheduled, the band has put up a two song mini EP to tie fans over. The songs "Native Intellect" and "Courier" are available via the Tragic Hero Records Merch Site along with an exclusive t-shirt design. The songs were also released on iTunes today with "Native Intellect" debuting at #145 on the Metal Charts.
