Northern Virgian metal/hardcore band In Alcatraz 1962 (Standby Records) is calling it quits. The band has issued the following statement:
"This isn't easy news to report, but our time has come to an end. We want to thank each and every one of you for coming out to a show, buying merch, letting us crash on countless floors, and supporting us throughout all these years.
We've traveled across the entire USA and Canada, released three albums, and loved every second about being on the road. We want to keep this message short, and just want all of you to know it's been a pleasure, and one hell of a ride. Thank you for all of the memories that will last a lifetime."

I've been waiting years for this band to finally die. Not only have they been irrelevant in the scene since 2008, they've cycled through several shitty band members who were all equally un-talented and creepy. The only member with any redeeming qualities was Josh. Maybe Travis or Eric if I'm being generous. Tyler Baldwin, please crawl back to the hole where you came from. Gage, Travis, Paul, and Josh... Sorry for your loss. Your high school project has been totally ruined.

Has to be,perhapse, the most gaye band name ever. Im sure no one will notice. 75 band festivals that have one, 3 band tour package on it are definately bummed.
I remember when they first started playing shows. They made a good run of it.
Breakdown-core sustains yet another fatal blow. 2013 is panning out to be the best year ever.
Was at this bands first show in 2005 and have done a few tours with them. Seen them come a long way and work hard for what they've acomplished. Good run homies. Best of luck in future projects.
