KEN mode records new material for soundtrack

Official press release: Critically-acclaimed post-hardcore trio KEN mode have recently met with Kurt Ballou (Converge) of Godcity Studio to record source material for Brian McOmber's score to the new Anurag Kashyap film, Ugly. Ugly revolves around an alcoholic who reunites with her ex-husband when their child is kidnapped. Anurag Kashyap's upcoming film has been selected at Cannes film festival's Directors' Fortnight. Regarding the recording, front man Jesse Matthewson said: "We came to Salem in hopes of getting some Kashmir naan and instead were put to work making evil noises for Kurt for the opening of a movie meant to debut at Cannes. evidently. It worked out pretty well for us in the end as Kurt bought us dinner, and we got to play around in Godcity all afternoon making feedback and disgusting tones. Not a bad way to spend your first day off after a 7 1/2 week tour."
