Official press release: Century Media Records is very pleased to welcome Sweden based metal outfit Bombus to the family. Bombus was started late 2008 in Gothenburg by axe men Feffe and Matte as a two piece but then quickly emerged to a full band with Ulf (bass) and Peter (drums) joining the party. Heavily influenced by the greats of Motörhead, The Melvins, Metallica and Poison Idea, the freshly arise four-piece started to play their first live shows and evolve their own unique sound more and more. After releasing three 7" vinyl singles and the praised self-titled debut album in 2010, the band matured a lot by laying down a good amount of live shows what also gained them a massive die-hard fan base. Recently the new bass man Jonas came in the band, as Ulf stepped back from his duties on stage and now takes care of the bands artworks and video clips. The story continued and it was the summer of 2012 when Century Media Records got an eye on Bombus. A deal was nailed pretty fast and the future brings great things for Bombus and CMR, a special single release as well as a new full length this year. The band states on the new partnership: "Bombus are proud to announce that we are teaming up with Century Media Records for the release of our upcoming album The Poet And The Parrot. Century Media has always been a prominent label with a high quality roster, and we are happy as pigs in shit to now be a part of it." Bombus recently finished the work on the new album "The Poet And The Parrot" that will see daylight in August 2013. The incredible new album track "Apparatus" will be released earlier on a strictly limited (to 500 copies) 7" vinyl single and as Digital Download. The single will be available from May 2nd on, right on the start of the European Danko Jones tour that Bombus will play as direct support.
