Official press release: Chad Ruhlig has rejoined For The Fallen Dreams. Ruhlig's engaging vocals and passionate creative energy were essential components to the vibrant metalcore attack of Changes, For The Fallen Dreams full-length debut released by Rise Records in 2008. He was more recently seen fronting the band Legend. After Ruhlig's departure, For The Fallen Dreams rose in profile with three incredibly well received albums: Relentless (Rise; 2009), Back Burner (Rise; 2011) and Wasted Youth (Artery Recordings; 2012). They've toured the world with Of Mice & Men, For Today, Chelsea Grin, Suicide Silence and other peers and contemporaries. When vocalist Dylan Richter left to pursue new ventures and spend time with his family, the opportunity to reunite with their old friend made perfect sense to the remaining core of For The Fallen Dreams. "Dylan Richter is a friend and brother and we wish him and his family the best," commented guitarist and primary songwriter Jim Hocking. For The Fallen Dreams has already returned to the rehearsal room to create new material with an eye toward releasing a brand new album. Hocking is extremely excited to collaborate with his old friend again. Ruhlig shares his bandmates' enthusiasm. "I am very much looking forward to returning to the road and studio with these guys," he said. Even as they prepare to embark on headlining tours of Europe and the United States, For The Fallen Dreams is hard at work writing material for their first album with Ruhlig in five years. "Chad and I have always seen eye to eye on music and we are putting together some of the strongest tracks we've ever done," said Hocking. Andrew Tkaczyk (The Ghost Inside), himself a Changes-era veteran of For The Fallen Dreams contributed to the band's new material as an additional songwriter and friend. The renewed creative collaboration resulted in the band's most exciting material to date. Commented Tkaczyk: "Getting back together with Chad and Jim to help write their new record has been so fun and refreshing. The 3 of us have always clicked when it comes to the material. This album has that classic For The Fallen Dreams feel. Fans will be pleased with it!" "It feels like we haven't skipped a beat," said Ruhlig. "I'm looking forward to singing the old jams from all eras of For The Fallen Dreams, as well as debuting some new songs. See you on the road!" UPDATE: For anyone wondering, Ruhlig is still a member of Legend.
