According to WTVR in Richmond, Lamb of God frontman Randy Blythe will have another bail hearing on Thursday, July 19th. The procedure will apparently consist of a panel of judges meeting to review the prosecutor's bail challenge, which they can uphold or dismiss.
Blythe has of course been in a Prague, Czech Republic jail since being arrested in late-June on charges of manslaughter. Although Blythe posted bail several days later, he has remained in prison due to the particulars of Czech legal procedures. Martin Holub, a lawyer at Safra & Partners told The Prague Post that if bail is ultimately revoked, Blythe could remain in prison for up to six months.
However, Holub added that, "If the appeal court confirms the decision of the previous court, Randy Blythe should be released on the day that decision is made."
The Prague Post reporter Jonathan Crane was optimistic with respect to Blythe's case: "Even if Randy was responsible for the alleged attack, the expert said that who is to say that he wasn't accidentally kicked or trodden on or left without help by fans below the stage."
