Riot Fest East 2012 postponed

Riot Fest East 2012, originally scheduled to take place next week in Philadelphia and feature Refused and August Burns Red, among others, has been postponed for undisclosed reasons. Organizers have issued the following statement:
"Riot Fest East 2012, scheduled for Thursday, July 19 at Festival Pier in Philadelphia, PA has been postponed due to unforeseen circumstances. Refunds will be available at point of purchase. We are truly sorry for those of you who were planning on coming out. This one hurts, but, a rescheduled show is in the works. More information about the new date will be made available soon."

"Due to the absurd amount of money being paid to these acts, and the pathetic presale numbers this festival was doing, to lose tens of thousands instead of hundreds of thousands, we had to 'postpone' the event until you forget about it so it just goes away."

It's funny reading the legions of asspained Philly folk on other sites. The lineup for the Philly date of Riot Fest dwindled and eventually vanished, Riot gave the excuse of 'passport issues' or some shit, meanwhile Toronto Riot Fest and Texas Riot Fest shot up and the Chicago date is crazier then ever. I mean, I understand the frustration, but holy shit Philly is already an A tour market that gets a ton of great shows. So you don't get to see NOFX and Municipal Waste once. fck off.
