Northern California "lifecore" act Defiler has signed new worldwide deals with Razor & Tie and its publishing arm, Razor & Tie Music Publishing.

Defiler is currently working on its Razor & Tie debut, which will be released later this year. The band is self-producing the effort, with mixing being handled by Chris "Zeuss" Harris (Suicide Silence, The Acacia Strain).

The band has made a new track available now for preview:

"Words cannot describe how excited I am about signing with Razor & Tie. I've always had massive respect for the label, because of the diverse roster and bands I love, and they're just the greatest people ever," explains lead singer Jake Pelzl. He continues, "I feel like the new album is a true showcase to what all of us can do as a band. We're going further with the melody, the brutality; I'm playing around with lots of different lyrical ideas. I hope for it to really make an impression in the world of heavy music."
