Bridge Nine signs 'supergroup' The Alligators

Wed, December 28, 2011 11:59 AM PT8,323 views

Official press release: Four of some of hardcore's most important names from both coasts got together to finally bring back that early 80's hardcore sound; this sound is called The Alligators, and they will be releasing a new record on Bridge Nine Records in 2012. Featuring members Roger Miret (Agnostic Front), Rich Labbate (Insted), Steve Larson (Insted) and Barret Burt (Insted), The Alligators sound a bit like something that might've been filed in between Miret's primary band, Agnostic Front's, landmark albums United Blood and Victim In Pain and is undoubtedly an old school hardcore band. The Alligators wear their influences on their sleeve - tipping their hat to bands like SSD, Antidote, Negative Approach, Poison Idea, Scream and more. Vocalist Roger Miret commented:
"The Alligators has been a fun side project i've been doing with the guys from Insted (California hardcore band from the 80's) - an odd fit you might think, but make no mistake: those guys are hard. Rich and I have been friends since the early 80's and periodically talked about doing music together, so this is a record I've been meaning to do for a long time coming. With the addition of DYS and Antidote to B9 roster and the re-release of Agnostic Front's 'VIP/United Blood,' we are happy to add this to the Bridge 9 family."
The Alligators' debut full-length for Bridge Nine Records, titled Time's Up, You're Dead, is slated to hit stores on March 27th, 2012 and more information regarding album details, new song premieres and upcoming shows will surface soon.

anonymous 12/28/2011 12:14:30 PM

super-ghey

anonymous 12/28/2011 12:26:00 PM

He's been doing this for years now, and no one cared. Why a release now??

anonymous 12/28/2011 12:29:44 PM

If they're so "super" why have I never heard any of their names before?

anonymous 12/28/2011 12:33:39 PM

gay band doing gay things for gays for a really long gaygin' time.

xfordirelifesakex 12/28/2011 12:43:41 PM

So an Agnostic Front record with "The Alligators" on the cover instead?

anonymous 12/28/2011 12:54:58 PM

hey guys, i think your fav band fall out boy just released a new track. you can go check that out if your too young to know that these bands were crucial and just because you were still filing diapers doesnt mean they didnt rock out. i love the arrogance that just because "I" havent heard of them, they must not be good. this board is whats wrong with hxc these days you pansies

anonymous 12/28/2011 12:58:48 PM

^^ this dude is an idiot first of all. Second, how is this a super group if 3 members were in the same band? Wouldnl't you just say "Insted forms new band with Agnostic Front's Roger Miret? lawls

LoydChristmas 12/28/2011 1:05:40 PM

yea how the hell is this a "supergroup"? which is a super ghey term in and of itself. also HUGE LOL at the butthurt anonymous guy. u mad bro? how's it feel knowing you're not in control of what people say?!

Get_Some 12/28/2011 1:14:22 PM

Old-Core............

anonymous 12/28/2011 1:20:29 PM

i've heard of them, but the fact that they're being called a supergroup is stupid. It's 1 member of one band and 3 members of another. Supergroups should have 1 member from seperate groups. It's just shit band with agnostic front vocalist.... considering this is hardcore, there's really no difference as there is no talent associated with this genre's vocals. go listen to bane and tell us how you feel the words maaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa aaaaaaaaaaan

anonymous 12/28/2011 1:21:09 PM

anonymous 12/28/2011 2:19:23 PM

gaynostic Front always sucked. Roger Miret is a wannabe gangsta gay. Stop fcking singing about New York, jerk. That town fckin' sucks and is full of cretins and loud as shit Puerto Ricans.

krangs_tiny_pebus 12/28/2011 2:22:42 PM

At some in your life you need to just grow up and quit playing this kind of music. Its gonna be akward seeing these 50-60 year old dudes being "hard" on stage or "rocking out". Its so gay. This whole this is so damn gay. This isnt a supergroup either. Its a band that is friends with a medicore "legendary" singer and always wanted to "be big" or "at least be recognized locally". Piss on this.

anonymous 12/28/2011 2:22:47 PM

lol y u madball tho

ShaolinLambKiller 12/28/2011 3:07:10 PM

never heard of any of these gays. Obviously not supergroup status.

truthstar 12/28/2011 3:33:51 PM

let me guess, they'll do one album the they'll do another but super bro breakdown core? it's the AF way

anonymous 12/28/2011 3:59:38 PM

Hardcore music is for bro's who love other bro's. gaytry all across the board

anonymous 12/28/2011 4:02:00 PM

Ok, Roger is a legend... I'll give hime those respects, but, damn, is this awful. There's about a million other bands that B9 should be throwing at instead of this one.

anonymous 12/28/2011 4:04:10 PM

Throwing *$$$ at, I mean.

anonymous 12/28/2011 5:11:19 PM

Who the fck cares?

big_metal_al 12/28/2011 6:27:06 PM

Four of some of hardcore's most important names from both coasts got together to finally bring back that early 80's hardcore sound; this sound is called The Alligators <-- haha, why this makes me laugh. so dumb but will listen because roger miret is in it.

anonymous 12/29/2011 1:07:04 AM

What do people who come on this website to read listen to? Every post I read is 99% trash talking, dosn't matter what genre.

LoydChristmas 12/29/2011 5:40:33 AM

^good question. but unimportant. whats important is to laugh at the fact that any time Roger Miret or Scott Vogel take a shit B9 will patent it, package it, slap it on a vinyl LP and try to sell it to idiots under the guise that its "legendary"

anonymous 12/29/2011 6:43:38 AM

OK on this day Thursday December 29th 2011 Lambgoat sets a record: Worst post ever

anonymous 12/29/2011 6:51:25 AM

Have you seen Roger Miret lately? He looks shot.

anonymous 12/29/2011 8:28:32 AM

I find it funny that some of you never heard of these guys and their passed bands, and you call your self hardcore? They are a super group for the hardcore world, Insted put out some great reccords back in the day.

anonymous 12/29/2011 9:39:35 AM

I think everyone posting in this thread has heard of these guys. I love AF and like some Instead back in the day. This is NOT a supergroup. Instead were, at best, OK. This is not good.

anonymous 12/29/2011 10:21:10 AM

Anybody that calls themselves "hardcore" has no business on this site. We hate B9 and B9 hates us...the difference is you B9 gays actually find our reviled community useful and informative.

i_talk_shit 12/29/2011 12:20:39 PM

Being old as fck I can say Insted weren't that good to begin with. Just because they played hardcore in the 80's doesn't make them good 20+ years later.

anonymous 12/29/2011 12:31:35 PM

A dyslexic man walks into a bra

marching_band_rules 12/29/2011 1:13:02 PM

honestly who fcking gives a shit about this? the 80's are over, the 90's are over, 1999-2007 is over. deathcore and shitty throwback won the day. fck hardcore.

anonymous 12/30/2011 10:49:49 AM

summerbeers 12/31/2011 7:53:26 AM

Jamey jasta is not stoked

anonymous 1/3/2012 5:27:28 AM

"Four of some of hardcore's most important names from both coasts" aka 3 guys from one band and one guy from another. Super groups are stupid. Hardcore punk is like MMA: guys who don't want anyone to know they like dick enjoy it

Snoopy 1/4/2012 9:01:42 AM

I play the guitar with someone else's dick do I qualify for being in a Superband?

therearetoomanybands 1/5/2012 9:38:59 AM

i hate hardcore.
