Official press release:
The Last Stand, the Brooklyn, NY band featuring members of veteran New York hardcore acts Shutdown and Inhuman, have signed with the new Kansas City, MO based indie label American Enemy Records. The Last Stand will be entering Nova Studios in Staten Island, New York to begin recording their debut full-length (title forthcoming) in late February 2012 with producer Jerry Farley for a late spring/early summer 2012 release in the USA. This release will be on CD, LP and iTunes and see distribution in Europe and Japan.
"We are very happy and excited to be working with a label like American Enemy that has a passion for Hardcore music," says The Last Stand vocalist Michael Scondotto. "This band came together for 2 reasons in 2010 - the first was for the love of Hardcore and the other was to have fun playing with friends, who are more like an extended family. In the tradition of the many Hardcore bands who came before us and continue to inspire us, TLS hopes to carry that torch and keep the flame burning!"
A trailer for a forthcoming video for the track "Opportunities Lost & Found" from The Last Stand's self-titled 7" EP on 1124 Records can be seen here.
